Print Order Composer (POC), Strings' primary product, was developed in response to the need of commercial printers to simplify the way business documents are ordered and managed. The POC allows commercial printers to conduct business over the Internet, thus increasing efficiency, expanding services, and streamlining the print ordering process for clients. No special hardware or software is required - all the printers and print buyers need to use POC is a personal computer, Internet access and a web browser.
Currently, ordering business documents (business cards, letterhead, envelopes, etc.) requires a great deal of time from both the printer and the customer. Print Order Composer reduces this process to minutes and virtually eliminate errors.
Print Order Composer is an Internet based service that simplifies ordering and printing of business documents by enabling easy communication between the client and his/her commercial printer. The application makes the ordering process simple and accurate and allows for document generation and remote proofing at any time, from any location. Printers may purchase the POC as a service or they might opt to license the software for installation on their extranet.
Benefits of Print Order Composer:

Dramatically shorter turnaround time (from days to minutes)

Print Order Composer consists of two user interfaces:
1) Print-buyer interface - enables the print-buyer to easily create and manage orders in the web browser and submit them to the printer. To create an account in POC, the print buyer submits its existing company stationery in electronic form to Strings. We then generate templates which are then used to create subsequent print ready documents. Templates can also be created by the printer him/herself using our Print Job Manager. In the initial set up stage, Strings, or the printer also enters print buyer specific preferences, such as printer information, employee information, and assigned employee security levels. Print-buyer enters the system from the login page on the printers' web site. The system them determines appropriate level of access privileges for the user and allows him/her to start using the system. Users with full access can use the complete set of POC features, including submitting orders to the printers.
2) Printer interface - Print Job Manager - in addition to entering new clients and creating templates allows the printer to receive and manage orders from customers. After the client submits an order, the system automatically sends notification email message to the printer about the incoming print job. The printer logs into the Print Job Manager and reviews the order. He/she can then download the order items in a PDF format and/or impose them into press sheets.
